## Activity 1: Research abstract
In your research groups, write the first draft of your abstract. Your teacher will give your further instructions. Don't worry if your group doesn't have all their results/conclusions yet - leave a space - this information can be added later.
Remember that your abstract is included in your final report/article and is evaluated as part of your report/article.
## Activity 2: Article/report introduction
In your research groups, write the first draft of your introduction. Remember to include all the elements of an introduction and to check the tenses used. Follow your teacher's instructions, or the author guidelines of your department's target journal. Then, write a detailed outline of your article/report.
## Activity 3: Research project pitch
In your research groups, prepare a mini-pitch of your research project (context, gap, aim; methods, 2 min max) to present to the class next week. Of course the pitch will contain the same information as your abstract, but you must not read your abstract! You will be communicating your science orally to a student audience - so your pitch must be clear and concise - but also engaging and check your presentation skills! Some teachers might ask for a simple powerpoint presentation (one slide/section, only visuals, no text).
